ESPN TV personality Stephen A. Smith has been a huge proponent of Deion Sanders being brought in as the next coach of the Dallas Cowboys. He has spoken several times about Sanders as an excellent coaching option.
On Wednesday, he said he believes Deion Sanders' personality and his relationship with Cowboys' owner Jerry Jones are factors to consider when looking for head coach candidates.
"What is Dallas about?" He said. "It's about the sizzle, it's about the bright lights, it's about performing under the bright lights. And also it's about him and this is the key ingredient that I would go with Deion Sanders other than him being significantly younger than Bill Belichick, I would also bring this up.

When you talk about somebody with the capability to wrap their arm around Jerry and convince Jerry to see thing a slight bit differently while embracing Jerry in a way that you're not taking the spotlight from him. You're joining him with the spotlight. That's something Jerry Jones might gravitate to because he does have a good relatioinship with Prime. Deion Sanders is the kind of dude that could roll up in Dallas and partner with Jerry Jones in a way no other NFL coach could."
Although the Cowboys have not fired head coach Mike McCarthy, there are rumors that a new coach will be hired in the offseason. The Cowboys (3-7) are on a five-game losing streak after losing 34–10 to the Texans on Monday. It has reached a boiling point in Dallas for a team expected to make the playoffs.
Does Deion Sanders want to go to Dallas?
Although there are rumors about Deion Sanders and the Dallas head coaching job, Sanders has remained adamant that he is happy in Colorado. On Tuesday, he was asked about future job prospects.
"I'm happy where I am," he said. "I'm good. I've got a kickstand down. You know what a kickstand is? A lot of people in here not of age, don't know what a kickstand is. That means I'm resting. I'm good. I'm happy. I'm excited. I'm enthusiastic about where I am. I love it here, I truly do."
So, while Stephen A. Smith and others might discuss Sanders as an option for Dallas, Coach Prime publically speaks about how happy he is in Colorado.
