Colorado Buffaloes two-way star Travis Hunter announced on Thursday that he is signing a deal with Adidas. The announcement comes in the leadup to the Heisman Trophy ceremony on Saturday, where Hunter is widely expected to win the award.
In a post welcoming Travis Hunter to the company, which has a market value of $44.6 billion per Forbes, on Thursday, several people showed their support. Notably, Noah Lyles, the gold medal winner in the 100-meter dash at the 2024 Paris Olympics, showed his support with a two-word reaction.

Noah Lyles is also an Adidas athlete who has been under contract since 2016. Since turning pro in 2016, he has three Olympic medals, including one gold, and seven world championship medals, including six golds. He is widely viewed as one of the best short-distance sprinters in the world.

The announcement that he would be signing with Adidas included a statement from Travis Hunter.
"Working with Adidas is a special opportunity for me and something that I’m really excited about as I look ahead to what’s next. The partners they currently have are top-tier with some of the best young guys like me. I’m pumped to join the three stripes as we continue pushing the boundaries of the sport we all love."
Adidas was also happy to make the signing, as per Aaron Seabron, the general manager of U.S. Sports and Creation Center Portland at Adidas.
This was just one event in a busy week for Travis Hunter. With the Heisman Trophy ceremony on Saturday, he will need to make a quick turnaround. He was nominated for the award alongside Boise State running back Ashton Jeanty, Oregon QB Dillon Gabriel and Miami QB Cam Ward.
