The Cavaliers (4-3, 2-2 ACC) had an impressive start to their season, winning four of their first five games, but are now looking to snap a two-game losing streak. Virginia suffered a 48-31 loss versus Clemson last weekend.
The Tar Heels kicked their season off with a 3-0 record, but are in the midst of a slide, losing each of their last four games. With a 3-4 record (0-3 ACC), North Carolina will search for their first conference win of the year this season.

North Carolina vs. Virginia game summary
After forcing a punt, Virginia took advantage, capping off their 12-play drive with a 30-yard field goal to go up 3-0 with over eight minutes left in the opening quarter. The Tar Heels quickly responded with a methodical nine-play, 75-yard drive that ended with a 37-yard touchdown pass from Jacolby Criswell to J.J. Jones to take a 7-3 lead.

After two Virginia Tech punts, North Carolina capitalized for a field goal following a 12-play, 68-yard drive, taking a 10-3 lead. Virginia responded with a field goal of their own, after an 11-play, 65-yard drive to cut the lead to 10-6.
North Carolina posted two unanswered touchdowns to take a 24-6 lead into the locker rooms at halftime in the first half's waning minutes.
