Recruiting website 247Sports released its list of the top 10 wide receivers from the Class of 2025 on Christmas Eve. Most of the usual names, like consensus top recruits Dakorien Moore, Kaliq Lockett and Dallas Wilson, made the list.
However, one notable exclusion from the list was Colorado signee Quentin Gibson. The three-star prospect had a fantastic senior year for the North Crowley Panthers and led the team to the Class 6A Division 1 State Championship on Saturday against the Westlake Chaparrals.
Gibson was named the Offensive MVP of the title game after recording 181 yards and three touchdowns. Despite his incredible performance, the three-star prospect was excluded from the list by 247Sports, and fans on Instagram did not like that.
They expressed their displeasure in the comment section of the recruiting website's Instagram post.
"Y'all really think it's 9 kids better than Gibson?" one fan wrote.
"Not having Quentin Gibson up here is wild," another fan wrote.
"Wheres quentin gibson at????" Another fan wrote.
More comments came questioning the absence of Gibson on the list.
"Y’all got bro ranked 173rd in his position but was killing the #1 ranked wr," another fan commented.
"These guys that make the rankings don’t really know how to evaluate talent @qfor6ix definitely belongs on this list," another fan said.
"@qbfor6ix?" another fan simply asked.
Quentin Gibson is ranked No.717 in the country and is the 117th-best wide receiver in the Class of 2025, as per On3 Industry Rankings. He is also the 102nd-best overall prospect in the state of Texas.

The Panthers took care of business in the title game against the Westlake Chaparrals, winning the game 50-21. The three-star receiver was the biggest reason for his team's victory.
