The Notre Dame Fighting Irish are one of the most well-known programs in all of college football. Marcus Freeman's team has always been in the conversation for the playoffs and this season should prove to be no different.

The Fighting Irish are set to be bolstered by new recruits for the season. The 2024 recruitment class for Notre Dame was ranked as the tenth best in the country according to 247sports.com.

Here are the top three Notre Dame recruits from the class of 2024.

Top three Notre Dame recruits in the class of 2024

Bryce Young (Defensive Linesman)

Bryce Young is one of the finest defensive linesmen out of North Carolina this year. Young had a successful high school career at Charlotte Christian. During his time there, he recorded 191 tackles, 17 sacks, five forced fumbles, and a solitary blocked punt as well as a field goal.

His performances had a positive effect on the whole team, as the high school went to the state championship in his junior year, and achieved a 2nd place finish in the conference in his senior year.

He is the son of San Francisco 49ers' Bryant Young and will hope to extend his father's legacy.

Kyngstonn Viliamu-Asa (Linebacker)

Kyngstonn Viliamu-Asa is a linebacker from the state of California. 247sports.com rated him the fourth-best linebacker in the country.

Viliamu-Asa was part of a highly talented St John Bosco defense that was full of top prospects. In 2022, he rose to prominence during the school championship game, recording 7.5 tackles and one fumble recovery.

In his senior year, he once again led his team to a state championship in a season where he recorded 114 tackles.

CJ Carr (Quarterback)

For the last few years, the Fighting Irish have had Sam Hartman as their QB, and this season, they have an able replacement in Riley Leonard. However, Notre Dame will need to add to their depth in this department.

This could come in the form of CJ Carr. Carr is the top prospect out of the state of Michigan and had a strong high school career, taking his team to two consecutive state championships.

In his senior year, he threw for 2,754 yards and scored 24 touchdowns. A season or two on the sidelines should give him enough time to develop into a feared quarterback.
