Notre Dame vs. Georgia Tech Summary

Georgia Tech opened the scoring in the game in a dramatic way. Jamal Haynes rushed for one yard, fumbled the ball and then recovered to return for a touchdown in the final play of the first quarter.

Notre Dame drew things level halfway through the second quarter with Riley Leonard scoring a touchdown. The quarterback rushed to the endzone from the 1-yard line on a series of 14 plays with 7:00 left.

The Fighting Irish went ahead in the game in the closing stages of the second quarter. Riley Leonard once again scored a rushing touchdown, running 12 yards to the endzone with 1:53 left on the clock.

Notre Dame extended the lead in the third quarter after Jeremiyah Love scored another touchdown for the Irish. The running back ran to the endzone from the 1-yard line with 11:01 left.

The Fighting Irish continued to take control of the game as it opened scoring in the fourth quarter with a field goal. Zac Yoakam hit the target from 42 yards after a series of 11 plays with 10:01 left.

Notre Dame had another touchdown as the game was running to an end. Adon Shuler intercepted a pass from quarterback Zach Pyron and returned it for 36 yards for a touchdown with 2:37 left.

Zach made up for his turnover with a touchdown pass to Chase Lane just before the end of the game. The quarterback found the WR from 6 yards with 0:23. The Yellow Jackets, however, failed in their two-point conversion.

Overall, it's another great win for the No. 12 Fighting Irish (6-1) as they continue to place themselves in the playoff conversation following the setback earlier in the season.
