The Ohio State Buckeyes are among the best teams in EA Sports College Football 25. Their 93 overall rating trails only the Georgia Bulldogs. Meanwhile, their 96 overall defense is the best in the game, while their 89 overall offense ranks fifth - trailing the Bulldogs, Oregon Ducks, Alabama Crimson Tide and the Texas Longhorns.
Those who pre-ordered the Deluxe Edition were able to gain early access, but despite the strong overall ratings, Buckeyes fans were not thrilled. X user @BarstoolTate noticed that a Michigan Wolverines player appears when you attempt to edit Ohio State's uniforms, blaming EA Sports senior producer Rob Jones, who he labeled as a Michigan fan, tweeting:
"They said I was wrong. They said I was crazy. They said EA Sports senior producer & devout Michigan fan Rob Jones was not trolling Ohio State with every move. But what will they say when I tell them that… WHEN YOU CHOOSE TO EDIT OHIO STATE’S UNIFORMS, A MICHIGAN PLAYER POPS UP."

While the error will likely be corrected in the coming days, it's an egregious one to draw the ire of any fanbase - let alone one with a rivalry as deep as Ohio State and Michigan.
The annual rivalry - dubbed 'The Game' - dates back to 1897. The two teams have met 119 times, with the Wolverines holding a 61-52-6 record.
Ohio State fan challenges boss to 'double or nothing' his salary over EA Sports College Football 25
Tate Moore, who shared the error in EA Sports College Football 25, received a response from Dave Portnoy, a Michigan Wolverines fan, and his employer. The Barstool Sports founder suggested that the program owns the Ohio State Buckeyes:
"That's not a troll. We own you guys. Beat us once, and you can have your uniforms back"
Moore responded by imploring Portnoy to bet his salary, double or nothing, on the 2024 matchup between the two teams:
"Double or nothing my salary on The Game this year? Ohio State wins I get paid 2x. Michigan wins, I work unpaid for a year"
Check out the tweet from Dave Portnoy and the response from Tate Moore below:
Portnoy didn't respond to Moore's request to bet his salary on the upcoming matchup. The Wolverines have won the past three matchups after the Buckeyes won 15 of 16 meetings between 2004 and 2019.
