Oklahoma Sooners' Jackson Arnold attended the 2024 SEC Media Days with his head coach and other players. He will be the starting QB of the team in his first year of college. Therefore Georgia star QB Carson Beck bestowed some knowledge upon him.
Arnold revealed that when he attended the Manning Passing Academy, Beck shared an interesting detail about the home of the Auburn Tigers. He said:
“I’ve never been to the stadium before, but when I was at the Manning Passing Academy I was talking to Carson Beck about it [Jordan-Hare Stadium] and he claimed the place is cursed,” Arnold said.
It seems like the Georgia QB has already prepared Jackson Arnold for his upcoming game against the Tigers on September 28th. It remains to be seen if the Sooners and the QB will be able to fight the ghosts or if they get possessed by them.
Jackson Arnold is ready for the highs and lows of being the starting QB in the SEC
Arnold became the talk of Oklahoma's three-hour window at the SEC Media Days. Being surrounded by cameras and sitting for several conferences and interviews, the former Fenton Guyer QB is as ready as ever to take on the role of the starting shot-caller of the Sooners' offense.
As the Sooners enter the SEC conference with high hopes and competition in their minds, head coach Brent Venables believes that Jackson Arnold is ready to lead the team.
“What I feel best about and have the most peace about is his ability to be able to handle the highs and the lows, the challenges, the success, the failure that a season will bring you,” Venables said, as per The Oklahoman.
“Nobody is more competent or more ready, even though he's a young player, and we've gotta, in some ways, be the headlights for him. That's why they call us coach.
The head coach continued to mention that his skills, arm talent, instincts, roughness, and leadership quality make him the best player to take advantage of the opportunity.
