Oklahoma vs Ole Miss kicked off at noon ET on Saturday. The number 18-ranked Ole Miss Rebels (5-2) hosted the Oklahoma Sooners (4-3) in a week 9 matchup.

Heading into the game, Oklahoma was looking to gain some positive momentum after failing to score more than 10 points in the past two games. Most recently, it lost 9-35 to South Carolina.

Ole Miss was also looking to get back in the win column after dropping a game 26-29 in overtime to number eight-ranked LSU before its open week. Before the start, it looked like the game would heavily favor Ole Miss. The Rebels were huge betting favorites with -1200 odds to win. Conversely, Oklahoma was given +750 odds as underdogs.

Oklahoma vs Ole Miss summary

Despite entering the game as the favorite, the number 18-ranked Ole Miss Rebels did not come out with the lead in the first half. However, they did get on the board first, scoring on the first drive of the game. The Rebels took only six plays to go 75 yards down the field and score a touchdown. It ended with Henry Parrish Jr.'s nine-yard run for the TD.

However, the lead did not hold. It took only two drives for Oklahoma to answer back with a touchdown of its own. The Sooners took eight plays to go 60 yards down the field and score to tie the game. The first quarter ended with a 7-7 score.

In the second quarter, the offense was a bit of a struggle for both teams. Ole Miss managed to get a field goal to take a lead halfway through the quarter. Oklahoma then fumbled twice and lost the ball twice on the next drive. Ole Miss did not capitalize on the turnover, and as a result, Oklahoma scored a touchdown to take a 14-10 lead into halftime.

However, although Oklahoma came out of the first half with a lead, the third quarter was big for Ole Miss. Quarterback Jaxson Dart threw a 24-yard touchdown pass to Caden Prieskorn a little over five minutes into the third quarter. Although the extra point was missed, Ole Miss scored again four minutes later, taking a 23-14 lead.

The Rebels extended their lead nine seconds into the fourth quarter with a field goal. Those would be the final points scored as Ole Miss won 26-14.
