Ole Miss Rebels quarterback Jaxson Dart was full of praise for Alabama's Jalen Milroe at the SEC Media Days. After spending time with Milroe at the Manning Passing Academy in late June in Louisiana, Dart shared his thoughts on the Crimson Tide QB, who is expected to contend for the Heisman Trophy this season.
Dart described Milroe as a "monster" with impressive physical abilities and a genuine personality, according to "Touchdown Alabama" on X (formerly Twitter).
“He is a monster,” Dart said. “He is definitely a guy who passes the eye test from a physical ability approach, but he's also a very genuine dude. He has been a stud and he is gonna be a baller for Alabama this year for sure.”
It is reported that Milroe will talk to reporters Wednesday morning in Dallas during SEC Media Days. Meanwhile, Missouri Tigers quarterback Brady Cook also spoke highly of Milroe.
“He could win a game alone with his legs,” Cook said. “I think his arm strength is one of his biggest things. He can rip it. He can make any throw on the field.”
Oklahoma Sooners QB Jackson Arnold echoed these sentiments, calling Milroe a "great player" who achieved much last year.
“He’s a great dude,” Arnold said. “I think he’s a great player, too. Obviously, he played very highly for them last year. Did a lot of great things for them. I think he will continue to do great things for them this year.”
With new coach Kalen DeBoer and offensive coordinator Nick Sheridan on board, Milroe is set to elevate his game even further in 2024.

Kalen DeBoer on how Jalen Milroe could snag the Heisman Trophy
During a recent interview with Joel Klatt from Fox Sports, coach Kalen DeBoer shared insights on how Alabama QB Jalen Milroe, who had an impressive season with 2,834 passing yards and 35 total touchdowns last year, could snag the Heisman Trophy this season.
"It's Jalen, but at the same time, it's also the guys around him,” DeBoer said. “And I think our system, you know when you've done it for 25 years and you've adjusted to the guys. ... You're adjusting to the guys that you have."
Meanwhile, the executive director of Reese’s Senior Bowl announced potential candidates for the 2025 All-Star Game in Mobile, Alabama.
This includes standout quarterbacks like Jalen Milroe from Alabama, Jaxson Dart from Ole Miss, Riley Leonard from Notre Dame, Quinn Ewers from Texas and Shadeur Sanders from Colorado.
