Ole Miss TE Caden Prieskorn and his wife, Cali, share moments with their fans on Instagram. Cali also uploads videos that demonstrate their lives as parents of two children.

On the special occasion of Father's Day, she prepared a surprise out of special goodies for her husband and father of two children.

"We are gonna paint for Father's Day. This Father's Day just looks a little different for us. There's a lot that has changed. Caden's dad passed away last October, colon cancer. This is his first Father's Day without his dad," said Cali in the IG video.

Therefore, to make the day more special and memorable, she put her "crafty" talents to use. She painted her son's hands and daughter's feet with paint and printed them on the balloon that spelled "LOVE YOU."

She also wrote special messages that Jerry Prieskorn, Caden's dad, sent him on each card of a deck. Cali also added candies and clothing items to the mix of other gifts.

Caden Prieskorn could not recognize his father after he visited him

The Ole Miss Rebels tight end had won a 27-20 game against the Arkansas Razorbacks in the 2023 CFB season.

Caden Prieskorn then drove to his childhood home in Lake Orion, Michigan, along with his wife and their then two-year-old son, Mac, strapped into a car seat in the back. The family was on their way to visit Jerry after his two-year-long battle with colon cancer.

Cali Prieskorn said, as per Ole Miss Rivals:

“That was the first time we’d seen him in a while,” Cali said. “We were both a little bit emotional about it when we first saw him.”

Cali and Caden Prieskorn had seen Jerry for the first time in two months after they had tied the knot in Oxford in July 2023. The two were taken aback because there was a stark contrast between the man they saw at their wedding and the one they saw in the hospice.

“He’d just lost so much weight,” Caden said. “He’d always been a big, strong guy, and seeing him lose so much weight that quickly … It was really tough.”

The Prieskorn family bonded over sports

Jerry Prieskorn described himself as his son's biggest fan, while Caden Prieskorn looked at his father as a role model.

Since the diagnosis, the Ole Miss player called his father each day to talk about everything that they could. Their relationship was heavily influenced by sports, as the Prieskorn family were athletes.

Jerry and Caden's mom, Jill, played college basketball at Northwood University in Midland, Michigan, his youngest son, Brady, is a Michigan football player. The family also lived on a golf course, Bald Mountain Gold Course. They would take trips to basketball tournaments and other football events.

When Cali, Caden, and their son reached their childhood home on Oct. 9, Caden's mom Jill, and his two brothers, Peyton and Brady, spent time in Jerry's room to reminisce on their memories. The family got to know that Jerry had died in the early hours of Oct. 10 just a few steps away Caden Prieskorn's childhood bedroom.
