Ole Miss entered the game as the favorite, and it quickly jumped out to a lead by returning an early Arkansas fumble for a touchdown. The Razorbacks answered back on the next drive with a field goal to end the first quarter.
However, on the first drive of the second quarter, Ole Miss scored on three straight drives to take a 28-3 lead.
Arkansas was able to stop the bleeding briefly by scoring a touchdown of its own, but on the final drive of the half, Ole Miss scored again, taking a huge 35-10 lead into halftime.
The third quarter was an offensive onslaught for both teams, but Ole Miss came out ahead. It started with Ole Miss scoring but Arkansas answered back immediately. However, Ole Miss scored again on the next drive to take a 49-17 lead.
Arkansas was then stopped for the first time in the third quarter, and Ole Miss took advantage immediately. The Rebels scored on their next drive, and despite the Razorbacks answering back with another touchdown near the end of the third quarter, they still took a 56-24 lead into the fourth quarter.
The fourth quarter was even and much lower scoring than the second and third quarter. Each team scored a touchdown and the Ole Miss Rebels won, 63-31, in a dominant showing.
Jaxson Dart stood out as the star of the game, completing 25 of 31 passes for 515 yards and six touchdowns. Jordan Watkins was the receiver for five of the Rebels' seven TDs.
