Max Johnson’s romantic relationship with Adrienne Jane Davis has caught the attention of many and is highly admired in different quarters. The relationship has now reached a noteworthy milestone.

Adrienne Jane Davis announced on social media that her relationship with North Carolina quarterback Max Johnson is now a year old.

In an Instagram post on Wednesday, Davis shared several romantic photos with Johnson, who is currently out of action due to injury, taken in different places and captioned it:

“One year with my boy.”

Who is Adrienne Jane Davis?

Adrienne Jane Davis, popularly known as AJ, is a social media personality from Backwoods, Tennessee. She’s known for her work with her sisters as part of the Davis Sisters, who gained recognition through their collaborative performances and content creation.

The Davis Sisters are featured alongside other creators on the popular YouTube channel “Funniflix,” which showcases family-friendly videos, challenges, and music. Through these collaborations, AJ and her sisters have built a following, sharing their talents and entertaining content with a broad audience.

Adrienne is the second youngest among her sisters, Ava, Addison and Abi.

Max Johnson’s early-season injury

Max Johnson suffered a serious injury during North Carolina’s 19-17 win over Minnesota in Week 1. While trying to evade a sack and throw the ball away, Johnson’s right leg got trapped underneath a defender and bent at an unnatural angle. He was later carted off the field.

A few days after the incident, it was made known that Johnson would miss the rest of the 2024 college football season after suffering a broken leg. The school announced that he underwent surgery in Minneapolis before returning to Chapel Hill.

“It's crushing and it's one of the hardest things about my job,” North Carolina coach Mack Brown said while reacting to his quarterback’s injury. “I know how Max feels and it's awful.
“He has an outstanding spring practice, he looks good in the fall. He's ready to go. He has a really good third quarter. And now he's out for the year. It's just a load on the young guy."

While the injury against Minnesota comes as a major setback for Johnson, the quarterback is not giving in. He announced in September that he would return to North Carolina in the 2025 season.

“It will be hard to sit on the sidelines, but I have a lot of football left in me and know I will be back out there next year,” Johnson said. “In the meantime, I’ll be there every day supporting my teammates and helping out as much as I can. I appreciate all the love and support from the fans.”

If Johnson is granted a medical redshirt for the 2024 season by the NCAA, he will retain two years of eligibility. This will hand the Texas A&M transfer the opportunity to play college football through 2026 as a seventh-year senior.
