Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes extended their winning streak to two games after week 9's victory over Cincinnati. With the kind of performance Coach Prime's team put up on the gridiron, college football analyst Paul Finebaum had a change of heart in his perspective about the Buffs.

Finebaum has always been a harsh critic of Deion Sanders and his role as Colorado head coach. However, on the latest episode of 'Matt Barrie Show', Finebaum praised the Buffs and their success so far this season.

He also discussed how Coach Prime has avoided heated and defensive moments with the media. Finebaum mentioned that he should now focus on helping his players grow.

"I don't know if I've really heard much from him since he started going after and singling reporters, doing stuff like that," Finebuam said. "I think he has handled himeslf the way he, the Deion Sanders I've always know and admired.
"I think he got a little too defensive of certain things, and it's not a good exercise. Just coach your football team, embrace them, make them feel special, because they're playing for you. And that's what we're seeing." (1:25 onwards)

After their Cincinnati win, Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes are 6-2 this season and have qualified to play in the Bowl games. This will be their first Bowl appearance since the COVID-19-shortened 2020 season.

Deion Sanders gets real about Colorado's bowl eligibility

In the post-game press conference, Coach Prime shared his thoughts on the Buffs qualifying for the Bowl games. He went on to extend his gratitude to everyone for recognizing their hard work and dedication.

Sanders then further went on to talk about how this was not their end goal and that it was only the beginning of their success as a college football program.

"It's cute. It really is, because we really want that. But that's not all we're after," Coach Prime said.
"That's one of the hurdles we're jumping over. That's a tremendous hurdle, that we're happy, we're excited, but that's not the end goal for us. That's the beginning, but we are thankful and appreciative that the hardwork is going noticed," he added.

Deion Sanders and the Buffs will next take on Texas Tech after an open week. It will be interesting to see if they can contend for the Big 12 conference title in 2024.
