Although the regular season is over for No. 4-ranked Penn State, the Nittany Lions are one of the teams to still have something to play for. Although they lost in the Big Ten Championship Game to No. 1-ranked Oregon, they still qualified for the College Football Playoff. They will play against the No. 10-ranked SMU Mustangs in a first-round matchup on Saturday at 12 p.m. EST.
However, even with a playoff matchup on the horizon, players are entering the transfer portal. The transfer portal window does not move, so players need to enter the portal regardless of whether their team qualified for the playoffs. As a result, there are some players who might not appear in the Nittany Lions' first-round matchup.
Here is a look at the Nittany Lions players who have entered the transfer portal.

T.A. Cunningham
Defensive lineman T.A. Cunningham joined Penn State as a freshman as part of the class of 2024. He was a three-star recruit from Loganville, Georgia, who committed to the Nittany Lions despite having offers from Miami, Michigan, Oklahoma and Texas A&M.
However, he did not appear in a game this season, and as a result, he has entered the transfer portal. He entered the portal on Dec. 9 but has not committed to a new school.
Jerry Cross
Tight end Jerry Cross was a four-star recruit who came to the Nittany Lions but never thrived in their system. Despite their proven ability to develop tight ends, Cross never found success with the team. As a result, the former four-star tight end has elected to enter the transfer portal.
During his time with the Nittany Lions, Jerry Cross struggled with injuries and other tight ends benefitted as a result. He entered the transfer portal on Dec. 2 with three years of eligibility remaining.
Feyisayo Oluleye
Wide receiver Feyisayo Oluleye declared that he would enter the transfer portal in mid-November. He did not appear in a game for Penn State after transferring to the team in 2023 from Robert Morris. He has one season of eligibility left.
Beau Pribula
Backup quarterback Beau Pribula entered the transfer portal Sunday. He was not expected to get a chance to start next season with Drew Allar returning. As a result, he entered the transfer portal in search of a new opportunity.
