USC hosted Penn State on Saturday in a Big Ten encounter that is believed to have a lot of playoff implications. It’s the first time the two programs are meeting as conference rivals.
The Nittany Lions came into the game undefeated through five games. Following their win over UCLA last week, they became the only college football program to have started the past four seasons with a 5-0 record. However, they face a tough test against USC on Saturday.
While the Trojans started the season on a brilliant note with a win against LSU, they have recorded two unforgiving losses against Michigan and Minnesota in five games. The Penn State game comes as a must-win encounter for Lincoln Riley's team.
