Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe has an important 2024 college football season ahead of him. However, Milore took some time out of his schedule to catch up with Manchester City and Croatia defender Josko Gvardiol in New York City on Thursday.

Gvardiol became one of the most expensive players in soccer history when he made the switch from RB Leipzig to Man City in August 2023. The move reportedly cost the English Premier League side a whopping £77.6 million, as per TEAMtalk.

Man City are hosting part of their preseason in New York City. Pep Guardiola's team will square off against AC Milan as part of a club-friendly game in New York City on Saturday.

Milroe, who met with Gvardiol at an event on Thursday, appears to be making the most of his trip to the Big Apple. On Wednesday, he was spotted with New York Yankees superstar Aaron Judge.

Nonetheless, Milroe's focus will soon turn toward Alabama for his fourth year with the program in 2024.

Jalen Milroe will lead Alabama's offense in the 2024 college football season

Jalen Milroe committed to Alabama in 2021. He spent two years as a backup to Bryce Young before being announced as the Tide's starting quarterback ahead of the 2023 season.

Milroe will lead Alabama's offense once again in 2024. He was also present at the Tide's Southeastern Conference media day on July 17 and addressed the team's ambitions for the upcoming season:

“For us, we’re passionate about each other and also passionate about achieving short-term goals and long-term goals in this process and we can all reflect from it. We shared the same experience from Coach (Kalen) DeBoer with failing to achieve a national championship so now it’s about refocusing and focusing on our spring 2024 football season."

Milroe threw for 2,834 yards and 23 touchdowns on 187 passes last season. He also rushed for 12 touchdowns and led Alabama to the College Football Playoff. Alabama lost to eventual national champion Michigan in the CFP semifinal.

However, Milroe will aim to lead Alabama all the way to the national championship title in the 2024 season.
