ESPN College GameDay made its way to the California vs Miami Week 6 ACC showdown. This is the first time in the show's history that GameDay is being hosted in Berkeley. Thus, it is natural for Golden Bears fans to be excited to welcome the GameDay crew to their home field.

College Football insider Pete Thamel took to social media to share a glimpse of the atmosphere building up for the California vs Miami showdown. In the photo posted on X, we see a crowd of California cheerleaders and fans pose together and showcase their support for the Golden Bears and the College GameDay show.

"Wow, @CalFootball. Just wow. What an atmosphere for @CollegeGameday," Pete Thamel wrote in the caption.

Last week, College GameDay was in Tuscaloosa where the Alabama Crimson Tide defeated the Georgia Bulldogs 41-34. For Week 6, this will be California's first matchup with the Miami Hurricanes since 2008. These teams are 2-2 in their rivalry series and will face each other for the fifth time in their program's history.

As for the guest picker for Week 6, Super Bowl champ and legendary Cal running back Marshawn Lynch was invited. Lynch spent three seasons with the Golden Bears where he earned the First-Team All-American honor in 2006. He was selected as the 12th overall pick by the Buffalo Bills in the 2007 NFL draft and went on to play 12 seasons in the league.

Lee Corso missed out on Week 6 of College GameDay

College Football analyst Lee Corso has been a part of the College GameDay show since its launch in 1987. He has been an integral part of the crew and a favorite of many. However, the analyst was missing during the Week 6 show in Berkeley.

Before the start of the broadcast, Rece Davis addressed the absence of Lee Corso. He stated that the analyst was not feeling well and was expected to be back very soon to be a part of the GameDay crew once again.

"Lee Corso is a bit under the weather. We expect him to get back soon. We know LC is watching. Speedy recovery my friend. You'll be back at it soon."

The California (3-1, 0-1 ACC) vs Miami (5-0, 1-0) showdown is expected to be a thrilling contest between these two ACC rivals. The No. 8 Hurricanes have secured an undefeated 5-game winning streak heading into Week 6. On the other hand, California lost their last game to Florida State. Will the Golden Bears be the team to hand Miami its first loss of the season?
