Lane Kiffin has once again stirred excitement among Ole Miss fans by sharing a snap of Rebels QB Jaxson Dart with Ole Miss icon Archie Manning on X. The photo, captioned simply with "💙💙," was taken during the 2024 Manning Passing Academy in Thibodaux, Louisiana, where Dart was among the top quarterbacks in attendance.

The sight of Dart with Manning, a legend who played for Ole Miss from 1968 to 1970, is sure to thrill fans. Eli Manning, another Ole Miss great, spoke highly of Dart last month.

"I'm a fan of Ole Miss, I've been a fan since I was little…It's been great watching Coach Kiffin and Coach Weis and the crew in what they're doing. And Jaxson. I'm rooting for them," Eli Manning said (per 247Sports).

"I want (Dart) to break – he's probably broken all my records – I want him to break all of them. I want him to go have a big year and go get that SEC Championship," he added.

Dart had a great 2023 season, recording 3,364 throwing yards, 23 touchdowns, and five interceptions.

Eli Manning lauds Jaxson Dart's personality

Ole Miss is buzzing with excitement, and one major reason is the promising talent of their QB1. Jaxson Dart was lauded by Ole Miss alumnus Eli Manning during the Manning Passing Academy. Manning had the chance to interact with Dart more personally.

"I’ve been to games, I’ve seen him briefly, but first time really getting to sit down with him, hang out with him, be on stage, tell some stories," Manning shared with reporters.

"Just enjoy his personality. I was able to take some light-hearted digs at him, he reciprocated and did the same to me, which is fun. That’s what it’s all about," he added.

With Coach Kiffin sitting on the No. 1 recruiting class from the transfer portal (per 247Sports), the team's prospects are looking bright in the 2024 CFB season. Manning acknowledged the high expectations for the Rebels.

"I've seen the expectations before," Manning said. "It doesn't always work out that well, but I think this year, I hope it's different. I think it's some true excitement for good reasons, and a lot of it is Jaxson Dart."

The Ole Miss Rebels will be looking to end a 61-year drought since their last conference championship this season.
