Pop sensation Dua Lipa stole the spotlight during her Austin City Limits Music Festival performance on Saturday night. Known for her disco-tinged club hits and energetic stage presence, Lipa turned heads by sporting a Texas Longhorns football jersey during her performance.

A video of her asking the crowd if they liked the jersey has gone viral. The excitement didn’t end there, as the three-time Grammy Award-winner performed her song “Be the One” in it.

Dua Lipa, 29, shared the clip on her Instagram, which boasts 87.5 million followers. On the other hand, her X account has risen to 10.3 million followers.

The pop star does not have any personal ties to Texas. However, her appearance could attract new fans to the Longhorns. Many were quick to capture the moment as she performed in the Longhorns gear, blending her pop star persona with Texas pride.

The burnt orange jersey repped by Dua Lipa is fitting in more ways than one. It represents Texas' current status in college football. Following their impressive victory over rival Oklahoma, the Longhorns strengthened their hold on their No. 1 ranking.

Texas stole the show right before Dua Lipa flaunted Longhorns jersey

In Saturday's game, Texas dominated No. 18 Oklahoma, winning decisively with a 34-3 scoreline, even without playing at their best. The team played an exceptional defense game, effectively neutralizing the Sooners offense. The Longhorns forced two turnovers and sacked quarterback Michael Hawkins Jr. five times, showcasing their defensive prowess.

Running back Quintrevion Wisner led the offense, rushing for 118 yards and averaging an impressive 9.1 yards per carry. This victory secured the golden hat for the Longhorns. It also kept them as the only undefeated team in the SEC. Additionally, Texas solidified its position as the No. 1 team in college football in the latest AP Top 25 poll.

Under coach Steve Sarkisian, the Longhorns have reached a perfect 6-0 this season and are demonstrating that they may be the best team in college football right now.

It's been a long time since Texas claimed a national title, with the last being in the 2005 season with Vince Young as quarterback. However, with the momentum the program is building, this could be the year it ends its title drought.

The combination of a significant rivalry win and the attention from a major celebrity in Dua Lipa has set a positive tone for the Longhorns, especially as they move forward in the season. With this momentum, Texas fans are eager to see how the team continues to perform in the upcoming games.
