The Georgia Bulldogs (6-1, 4-1 SEC) defeated the No. 1 Texas Longhorns (6-1, 2-1 SEC) 30-15. While many celebrated the Week 8 victory in their own way, one fan's experience became even more enjoyable owing to some unhappy Texas fans.
After Georgia secured a commanding lead, one X user shared his plans, which had everyone laughing. Holding up a red cup with the Texas Longhorns logo, the fan tweeted:
"Leaving Texas with a win and a free cup!! (thanks to the angry fan behind our section who chucked it at us with 5 min left. You have the same accuracy as Ewers tho)."
The game itself was a show of Georgia’s characteristic defensive strength. UGA came out strong, opening with a 23-0 lead in the first half. Linebacker Jalon Walker delivered an outstanding performance with three sacks and seven tackles, while running back Trevor Etienne carried the offense with three rushing touchdowns.
Although Texas tried to rally in the second half with a controversial interception and a touchdown to close the gap to 23-15, Kirby Smart and his men responded quickly with another score to seal the win.
The Bulldogs’ defense became the show's star as it held Texas to just 29 rushing yards, sacking quarterback Quinn Ewers three times and forcing three turnovers.

Will the Georgia Bulldogs make it to the CFP?
Bulldogs’ 30-15 victory over the top-ranked Longhorns in Week 8 has tremendously improved their College Football Playoff (CFP) chances. Currently ranked at No. 5, the Bulldogs have proven they can win under pressure, especially on the road against an undefeated team.
Looking ahead, the Bulldogs still have challenges on their schedule. Their key tests will be upcoming games against No. 18 Ole Miss and No. 11 Tennessee. Another challenge waiting down the line is their annual clash with Florida Gators (4-3, 2-2, SEC) in week 10.
However, if the Bulldogs can win and finish 5-0 in their remaining games, they’ll likely earn a spot in the SEC Championship. Even if Georgia wins the SEC Championship Game, they’ll still need to surpass LSU Tigers (6-1, 3-0) and Texas A&M (6-1, 4-0), which are ahead of them in the standings.
However, with the above two teams facing off in Week 9, UGA’s path to the CFP becomes clearer if they can promise to maintain their momentum under Kirby Smart’s leadership.
