PIC: Lane Kiffin’s daughter Landry snaps her furry companion from the “first snow day” in Mississippi

Lane Kiffin's daughter Landry Kiffin shared a heartwarming picture of the first snow in the state of Mississippi. It featured a dog (not the infamous Juice Kiffin) in a snow-covered field. This was accompanied by the caption:

"First Snow Day."

Mississippi, along with the rest of the Southeast United States, is currently experiencing a snowstorm generated by a polar vortex. This contrasts sharply with the wildfires burning Los Angeles at the same time

The snow is part of conditions that have led to temperatures in Mississippi being the coldest since 2011, with temperatures ranging from 0-20° Fahrenheit depending on which part of the state is in. As Oxford, Mississippi (where the University of Mississippi is located) is in the north of the state, the temperatures were likely to be cold and perfect for snow.

Landry and the dog are set for a lot more snow to come, with between five and ten centimeters of snow set to fall in the coming days.

Landry attended the Gator Bowl game and saw the Ole Miss Rebels easily defeat the Duke Blue Devils in what became their largest margin (52-20) of victory in a Bowl game.

Before the game, Landry posted on social media that she was with her "date" (as numerous outlets described it) for the game: Juice.

This all stems from a fan on social media asking to take Landry out on a date at Chilis after the game if a certain result had occurred.

"Let’s make a bet @Lane_Kiffin If you guys don’t cover -17.5 today I get to take your daughter on a date to my local @Chilis."

Lane Kiffin saw this, bringing the post to her attention, and responding with the line:

"She's not a Chili's girl," Kiffin replied.

The fan tried again, this time addressing Lane personally by saying:

"Fine , I’ll settle for you and me go there and talk transfer portal talent over some beers then"

In which Landry, who was already engaged in the conversation by this point, replied:

"He isn’t a beer guy," Landry replied.

Landry would then post on Instagram Stories before the Gator Bowl a picture of Juice Kiffin, signifying that she did bring a date to the Gator Bowl, but it was more of the four-legged variety
