Apart from being the coach of the Ole Miss Rebels, Lane Kiffin has become known for his social media presence. This has many advantages, including giving college football fans a look into the personality of the coach.

However, apart from trolling others, Kiffin can also use his platform to showcase his family. This was something that he did on Wednesday, where he shared a picture of his daughter, Landry, with her "twin."

It turns out this "twin" is his dog, Juice. Juice Kiffin, as he is affectionately known, has been a common sight on Lane's social media.

This is not the first time that Landry and Juice have been seen together. Last week, the Ole Miss Rebels faced the Duke Blue Devils in the Gator Bowl.

This would be a game that the Rebels would be able to win heavily, thanks to a strong performance from quarterback Jaxson Dart in his last game for the program.

Landry, who herself is a student at Ole Miss, went to this game and took Juice with her. This all stems from a social media conversation between a fan wanting to take Landry as a date to the game, which caught the eye of Lane Kiffin.

Landry's response to this was very much Lane Kiffin style. Instead of taking this fan as a date to the Gator Bowl, she took Juice, the beloved family dog.

Lane Kiffin on the transfer portal

Lane Kiffin has also been a critic of both the expanded College Football Playoff (but this might just be because Ole Miss didn't make it) and the transfer portal. He made comments about the latter after the Rebels Bowl win on Friday:

"I think it’s a really broke system that’s got to be fixed. To have the portal (open), and we lost guys going into the portal, a couple of starters that went into the portal that would’ve been playing. So, it kind of affected us as much as (Duke), especially with their quarterback situation.”

This is a common complaint from those involved in important games during this period. The coaches are trying to prepare their team to win the Playoff game or Bowl game, and the players whom they wanted to start are now transferring to other teams.

This is the first year of the portal being opened alongside an expanded Playoff and the first year of the new eligibility rules. This eliminated the one-year mandatory sit-out for those who transfer more than once.

The NCAA will hopefully work with coaches in the coming years to help them develop a portal system that will allow players to transfer but has a reduced impact on those who are playing in Bowl games.
