Pittsburgh football expert projections for 2025 NFL Draft: Which round will Branson Taylor, Gavin Bartholomew and Co. get drafted?

Pittsburgh has placed a player in the top 100 selections during eight of the past nine drafts. Included in that count were a pair of first-rounders. They may struggle to have any player selected on Day 2 next April.

#1 Gavin Bartholomew

If there’s one Pitt prospect who could move up draft boards, it would be tight end Gavin Bartholomew. The senior is a gritty prospect who makes a lot of difficult catches, using his 6-foot-5.5, 254-pound frame to dominate opponents.

He’s also a serviceable blocker. What he’s not is a downfield threat, as Batholomew is a 4.7-second 40 guy and plays to that speed. Bartholomew is a terrific tight end prospect and could start in certain NFL systems.

#2 Branson Taylor

Branson Taylor is a nice-sized tackle prospect who showed a lot of potential as well as progress last season.

He’s a natural right tackle who was thrown into duty on the left side last season and did a solid job. Taylor has a next-level build and stands out as a run blocker while holding his own in pass protection.

#3 Konata Mumpfield

Konata Mumpfield is a reliable receiver who comes away with a lot of important receptions. Measuring under six feet tall, he’s not a vertical threat and plays to one speed, which will push him into the late rounds.
