The Purdue Boilermakers are getting ready for Week 11 Big Ten Conference action against the second-ranked Ohio State Buckeyes. Several key players are healthy but there are some depth pieces on both sides on the injury report.
This game may not be close but the injury report is interesting to see which players are going to play and which ones will miss the conference game.
Purdue Boilermakers injury report
The Purdue Boilermakers are in an interesting spot as only four players are currently on the injury report. Three of them are on the offensive side of the ball so let's look at the latest update on them.
De'Nylon Morrissette, WR
Sophomore wide receiver De'Nylon Morrissette is dealing with an undisclosed injury and is a game-time decision. He missed the last game due to the injury and is a good piece in the Boilermakers offense. Morrissette has nine catches for 89 yards (9.9 yards per reception) with a pair of touchdown grabs.
Damarjhe Lewis, DL
It has been more than a month since we have seen junior defensive lineman Damarjhe Lewis on the field for Purdue. He is a starter and has been missed. There has been no update on his status so do not expect him to be on the field. So far this season, he has 14 total tackles with seven solo and seven assisted.
Ohio State Injury Report
The Ohio State Buckeyes are rolling and a big reason has been their health as they have five offensive players on the injury report. Let's look at the injury report for some players that should make an impact.
Will Kacmarek, TE
Senior tight end Will Kacmarek has not featured for the Buckeyes since being carted off in the game against the Oregon Ducks. While he is progressing according to coach Ryan Day, he is not ready for the Week 11 game.
"He's doing great. He's healing quickly. He's still a couple of weeks away, but he is doing great. All the reports back from the training room and from Mick is that he's a little ahead of schedule, so that's encouraging. We're excited to hopefully get him back here in a couple of weeks." h/t On3
Kacmarek has five receptions for 58 yards (11.6 yards per catch) this season.
Josh Simmons, OL
Senior offensive lineman Josh Simmons suffered a season-ending injury in their game against the Oregon Ducks. That means he will be out as he recovers from the left knee injury.
