Wisconsin opened the scoring of the game in the first quarter as running back Tawee Walker rushed for a 12-yard touchdown with 8:04 left on the clock. This marked a brilliant start for the Badgers.
The home team extended its lead before the end of the first quarter as quarterback Braedyn Locke located wide receiver Vinny Anthony II with a 52-yard pass for a touchdown with 1:56 left.
Purdue opened its own scoring in the second quarter with a field goal from Spencer Sporath. The kicker converted a 21-yard field goal with 8:41 left on the clock. It was a way the Boilermaker looked to get back into the game.
The Boilermakers recorded another three points as the game approached halftime. Spencer Sporath once again converted a field goal from 23 yards to give his team hope of staging a comeback in the second half of the encounter.
However, the Badgers changed the run of play just before halftime with another score. Tavee WalkerWalker rushed for a touchdown down from the 1-yard line, marking his second score of the game.
Wisconsin started the second half on a brilliant note as Braedyn Locke threw a 69-yard touchdown pass to Trech Kekahuna to extend the lead with 12:14 left. This exerted the Badgers' dominance in the Big Ten encounter.
Braedyn Locke once again found Trech Kekahuna with a 25-yard touchdown pass with 4:42 left in the third quarter, giving the Badgers a heavy lead over the visiting league opponent.
Wisconsin wasn't done in the third quarter as Tavee Walker scored his third rushing touchdown of the game. The running back rushed 17 yards to the endzone to further extend the Badgers lead with 0:12 left.
The storyline was the same in the fourth quarter as Wisconsin once again found a way to the endzone. Cade Yacamelli rushed 30 yards for a touchdown with 10:59 left on the clock.
Nathanial Vakos took Wisconsin further ahead in the game with a field goal. The placekicker hit the target from 26 yards with 6:15 left on the clock.
