Linebacker Que Robinson has been a part of the Alabama Crimson Tide since 2020. After redshirting his freshman campaign, Robinson slowly but gradually became a key player on the Crimson Tide's defense.
So far this season, the linebacker has been carrying the defense while recording a total of 21 tackles, four sacks, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery. However, during Alabama's Week 11 showdown against LSU, Que Robinson was hit with an injury.
What happened to Que Robinson?
In the third quarter of the game, Que Robinson was seen holding onto his arm after a play. He walked off the field with a few trainers for an evaluation at the medical camp.
ESPN reporter Holly Rowe provided an update stating that the Alabama linebacker had suffered a severe forearm injury. He was one of the players injured during this showdown against LSU apart from RG Jaden Roberts, DB DeVonta Smith and RB Jam Miller.
"Que Robinson has gone to the locker room with, apparently what looks like a pretty severe forearm. He was completely immobilized. The good news is, Jaden Roberts, their right guard, is able to come back and play if they want him to."
The injury to Robinson is a massive blow to the Alabama Crimson Tide's defensive strength. Before his injury, the linebacker had two tackles. Earlier this week, Robinson talked about playing LSU in a tense atmosphere during the Death Valley Showdown.
"It's going to be loud man," Robinson said. "It's going to be a whole bunch of people that hate you. And I think it might be worst than Tennessee's stadium."
Que Robinson injury update
After going for a medical evaluation, the Alabama linebacker was seen coming out of the tent with a sling on his left arm before heading toward the locker room. It was then reported that Robinson would be ruled out for the rest of the game.
The Crimson Tide traveled to Baton Rouge with four outside linebackers, Qua Russaw, Robinson, Yhonzae Pierre, and Noah Carter. Russaw has rotational duties with Robinson and had to shoulder the responsibilities in his absence.
If Kalen DeBoer and his team can emerge victorious against LSU, then they will take a step closer to being a contender for the new 12-team playoffs. Fans will be waiting with bated breath for further updates on Robinson's condition ahead of their next game against Mercer.
