Quarterback Quinn Ewers and the No. 3-ranked Texas Longhorns are set to play in the Peach Bowl on Wednesday against the No. 12-ranked Arizona State Sun Devils. It is also a second-round matchup in the college football playoff. Although there has been debate over whether Arch Manning should replace Quinn Ewers as the starter, Ewers proved his doubters wrong in the first round's 38-24 victory over Clemson on Dec. 21.
However, in the lead-up to the game, fans had more to talk about with Ewers than his on-field play. As he walked through the stadium to the locker room, Quinn Ewers was spotted in a stylish blue suit and red tie. Someone in the building took a photo, which revealed an interesting aspect of Ewer's outfit.
Ewers was wearing a gold tie clip to keep his outfit in place. However, when you look closely, you can see that it is a Donald Trump tie clip.
Donald Trump was elected as the next President of the United States in early November and will take office on Jan. 20. He won both the popular and electoral votes over Vice President Kamala Harris.
Quinn Ewers and the Texas Longhorns play in the Peach Bowl on Wednesday
While Quinn Ewers looked good in his suit, tie, and Donald Trump tie clip, he had more to worry about than fashion on Wednesday. He must take the field with his team and face the Arizona State Sun Devils in the Peach Bowl.
The Longhorns are a big favorite to win this matchup, but the Sun Devils should not be taken lightly as an opponent. They only have two losses this year and won the Big 12 Championship.
The winner of the Peach Bowl will advance to the semifinal of the college football playoff and play in the Cotton Bowl. They will play the winner of the Rose Bowl between the No. 1-ranked Oregon Ducks and No. 6-ranked Ohio State Buckeyes.
