Shedeur Sanders is one of the stronger quarterbacks in college football at the moment. The Colorado Buffaloes QB is currently having an impressive year, leading the team to a 4-1 record in the season so far.
But, this will be Sanders' final season in college football, as it is widely predicted that he will declare for the 2025 NFL draft. He is expected to be a top 10 pick and could be a top five or even the number one pick if he continues with the form he is currently showing.
Once he has declared, questions will then be asked about where Shedeur Sanders could end up.
On Friday, Mark Davis, the owner of the Las Vegas Raiders, spoke to Shedeur Sanders when the pair met at a WNBA playoffs game between the Las Vegas Aces and New York Liberty. During the conversation, it was reported by Yahoo Sports that Davis said the following to Sanders.
"Who knows. You might be home right now."
This implies that Mark Davis may be interested in obtaining the services of Shedeur Sanders. This makes a lot of sense. Ever since Derrick Carr left the Raiders, the team has been without a franchise quarterback.
Currently, there is a quarterback battle in the team, between Gardner Minshew and Aiden O'Connor.
This is not the best quarterback in the league, and if this is the best Las Vegas has, a new one is going to be required. Shedeur Sanders would be a good replacement for these two.
He is without a doubt talented and would be able to make this Raiders offense stronger with his presence. Additionally, Sanders has established a unique personality and celebrity status during his time with the Colorado Buffaloes.
Playing in Las Vegas, the entertainment capital of the world, would fit with the image Sanders and the rest of his family have created for himself.
Deion Sanders makes the case for Shedeur Sanders to go to another team
However, Shedeur's father and Colorado Buffaloes coach Deion Sanders thinks that his son should go to a different team. Deion made an apperance on Nightcap podcast this week, where he made his suggestion.
"What do you do business wise if you’re the Dolphins? Do you take a quarterback, which is what I’m saying, or do you say ‘Tua, let’s check this out, let’s see what we’re going to do.’ Is his health more important than that?”
If Shedeur was playing for the Miami Dolphins, he could make them into a playoff team that could challenge for the Super Bowl. However, it is all dependent of the health of Tua Tagovailoa.
If he thinks he is still able to play, he will play and the Dolphins will likely not look for a new quarterback. But if Tua takes the advice of some of the players and decides to retire, then the door would be open for Shedeur Sanders to go to Miami.
