Deion Sanders supposedly acted as the mediator to settle the rift between Travis Hunter and Super Bowl champ Richard Sherman. After Sherman criticized the Colorado star's two-way abilities on the Sept. 18 episode of the St. Brown podcast, Hunter replied by posting a story stating that people should stop talking about him and allow him to focus on the game.
In a tweet that Richard Sherman posted on Friday, he talked about how he cleared the air following a proper conversation with Travis Hunter. The ex-NFL star also expressed his gratitude to Coach Prime for helping out and extended his best wishes to Hunter for his future.
"Just had a great conversation with @TravisHunterJr! Preciate you @DeionSanders for setting that up. Huge fan of that young man and grateful to be able to clear that up

Richard Sherman was on the St.Brown podcast last week where he talked about Travis Hunter potentially translating his two-way play in the NFL. He also talked about how being great at two-way plays in college is different from the way it functions in the NFL.
"We're not playing 50 snaps on offense and 50 snaps on defense. Offensive coordinators are going to test you. These quarterbacks are going to say, 'Hey let's see how in shape you are by the end of the fourth quarter,'" Sherman said.
"As a receiver he's kinda bland," Sherman continued. "I think he goes as a corner just because receivers his size...he's not a special size, super dymanic route runner. He's a great athlete and he's smooth so he can get it one. I'm sure if he focused on receiver he coud be elite, but as a corner, he just looks natural."
Travis Hunter was honored with the Paul Hornung Award last season for his versatile play style. He has 472 receiving yards and five touchdowns on offense this season. As a cornerback, he has recorded 13 total tackles, one forced fumble, three passes defended, and one interception.
NFL Hall of Famer Terrell Owens spoke up on Richard Sherman's criticism of Travis Hunter
Hall of Fame wide receiver Terrell Owens called out Richard Sherman on his criticism of the Colorado two-way star.
On the Bubba Dub show, Owens talked about how it felt like Sherman was hating on Travis Hunter for being so successful in his collegiate career. He also compared Hunter's college career to that of former NFL CB Charles Woodson.
"I heard the most ridiculous take from Richard Sherman that he said he didn't believe he (Travis Hunter) could do it. C'mon Richard. C'mon bro don't do that man. For me that just oozes, it smells like hate."
"Travis Hunter is that dude bro. He's that guy. To do what he's doing at the collegiate level, its exceptional bro. You don't find too many. In high school you saw that, not in college. To me, Travis is better than Charles Woodson than Charles Woodson at Mchigan."
This season is potentially Hunter's final collegiate campaign as he is expected to declare for the draft next year. Given his talents, he is expected to be a top first-round pick.
