Wide receiver Ryan Williams joined the Alabama Crimson Tide as a part of the 2024 recruiting class. Despite this being his debut college football campaign, Williams has already made a remarkable impression after showcasing his talents on the gridiron.

So far, the freshman WR has played in all four games for Alabama. He was the star of last week's SEC clash against the Georgia Bulldogs. The WR caught a stunning 75-yard TD pass from Jalen Milroe which helped the Crimson Tide secure a 41-34 victory.

After this spectacular performance, Williams saw his rating improve on EA Sports College Football 25. In its first major player ratings update after Week 5, Williams saw his rating improve by one. Previously, his overall rating was 81. After the update, his overall rating has gone up to 82.

However, fans were not happy with the rating that EA gave the Alabama freshman. They quickly took to social media to share their perspective and reactions.

"Ryan Williams too low respectfully," one fan said.
"Ryan Williams should be a 90," another fan said.
"Why the f**k is DJ Uiagalelei rated higher than Ryan Williams???" one fan asked.
"Ryan Williams should be an 82 on Madden maybe, but for CFB he should be 94 or better," another fan added.

So far in four games, Williams has put up a total of 462 receiving yards and five touchdowns on 16 receptions, showcasing his positive chemistry with QB Jalen Milroe.

CFB analyst has high praise for Ryan Williams after performance vs Georgia

College football analyst Greg McElroy had high praise for the Alabama freshman WR after his splendid showcase on the field against Georgia. On Wednesday's episode of "Always College Football", McElroy talked about his high expectations from the wide receiver during his college career.

McElroy also gave a detailed breakdown of Williams' gameplay and how it could pave a successful path for him in the future.

"Ryan Williams from Alabama, I don't know what more you can say about this young man," McElroy said. "To do it on the biggest possible stage, going for nearly 200 yards against the Georgia Bulldogs, who do have corners that will play professionally. He did an amazing job of creating separation, did an amazing job of being consistent with his hands, the guy almost never drops the ball.
"He is almost never out of position and he always seemingly tracks the ball in the air better than anyone else that has eyes on the football as it's traveling towards them. I love what I've seen from Williams, the one thing I did not anticipate was him being strong as he is and as good as he is after the catch," he added.

Kalen DeBoer has a strong roster in his arsenal as he continues his debut campaign with the Crimson Tide. If his players, including Williams, can keep up with the performance consistency, then they have a chance of emerging as the national champions this season.
