UConn opens the 2024-25 college basketball season with a clash against Sacred Hearts. The Huskies entered the season with strong ambition, in search of a historic third consecutive national title, and they hoped to get started on the very best note against the Pioneers.

The Wednesday game was Sacred Heart’s second game of the season. The Pioneers suffered an 81-70 loss to Temple in their season opener a few days ago and they face another tough test in Storrs, Connecticut, against the national defending champion.

As widely expected, the Huskies are heavily favored in the encounter with 35.5 points on points spread. The total points for the game was set at 145.
