Shedeur Sanders signed an NIL deal with Nike in August and unveiled a massive billboard at Times Square in New York. The billboard shows Sanders with his famous watch celebration and the slogan "You know what Time it is."
The news resurfaced online Monday and went viral after Sanders' stellar season concluded, with fans praising the Colorado Buffaloes quarterback.
"COLORADO! Salute to the Sanders family," one fan wrote.
"Congratulations, continue to be humble," another fan wrote.
"Shoud've at least been a candidate for the Heisman Trophy and invited to the ceremony," a fan added.
According to On3, Sanders' NIL valuation is $6.2 million, the highest in college football. He's the first college football player to sign an NIL deal with Nike.
Shedeur Sanders will play in Colorado's bowl game
Despite Shedeur Sanders likely being a top-five pick in the 2025 NFL draft, the star quarterback will play in the Colorado Buffaloes' Alamo Bowl game against BYU on Dec. 28.
In recent years, top draft prospects have opted out of bowl games, but his father, Deion Sanders, confirmed that the QB will play against the Cougars.
"We have a plethora of seniors that are pro-bound, and guess what? Every last one of them are going to play," Sanders said. ... "We got another quarterback who picked up an award last weekend, and he's gonna play. ...
"We cannot wait to put on our best suit and our best uniform because we're the home team, and we're going to play, and we're gonna come there to have a good time."
Sanders was named Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year in 2024.
This season, Sanders went 337-for-454 for 3,926 yards, 35 touchdowns and eight interceptions. He was a big reason for Colorado being one of the best teams in college football and nearly making it to the Big 12 championship game.
