The Florida Gators tasted their second defeat of the season after a 20-33 loss at the hands of Texas A&M in Week 3. Following a dominant Week 2 victory against Samford, the Gators failed to continue their winning momentum.

Florida head coach Billy Napier reportedly finds himself in the hot seat after this defeat. According to a tweet by journalist W. Keith Friedman, the Gators are looking to move on from Billy Napier.

"Just received word from a source in #Florida that the University of Florida will look to move on from head coach Billy Napier. The #Gators are expected to make an announcement, possibly by Monday," the tweet read."

Amid this rumors, fans are taking to social media to demand the firing of Florida AD Scott Stricklin as well. He has been the Athletic Director of the University since 2016. One fan wrote that Stricklin should not be allowed to pick the next head coach of the Gators if Napier is fired.

"If this is true Scott Stricklin needs to be fired right next to him! He does not need to pick the next head coach if this is true!"

Another fan commented that Stricklin should not be allowed in Gainsville anymore.

"Scott Stricklin shouldn't be allowed within 100 miles of Gainsville starting yesterday."

This fan believes the Florida AD should not be allowed to hire anymore, given his track record.

"At the end of the day, how are we going to allow Scott Stricklin to make another football hire?"

One fan wrote both Scott Stricklin and Billy Napier are the reasons why the Gators are struggling.

"The Billy Napier era is over. The Scott Stricklin era is over. Clean our your desk and don't let the door hit your a** on the way out. This Gators team's performance is the worst I have ever seen."

Another fan believes if only Napier is fired, then Stricklin will continue to pose problems for the team.

"Firing Billy Napier without firing Scott Stricklin will lead to another 5 years of the same old thing."

During his stint as the AD of the University, Scott Stricklin has had three head coaches for the Gators. Despite this, they have not been able to win a national championship.

Florida puts up another underwhelming performance in defeat against Texas A&M

The Gators were once a powerhouse team competing for the national championship. And today, they are struggling against a team that hasn't won a natty since 1939.

The Gators were underwhelming on both offense and defense against the Aggies. They were dominated by backup QB Marcel Reed who was filling in for the injured Connor Weigman. Reed recorded 178 passing yards and two TD passes along with 83 rushing yards and one TD.

On the other hand, Gators QB Graham Mertz struggled to lead the offense, recording 147 passing yards with one TD pass and one interception.
