SEC Week 9 injury report: Updates on Keon Sabb, Eli Stowers, Caden Durham, and more

The SEC Week 9 injury report has six different games and there are some significant players dealing with injuries.

The injury report sheds light on teams potentially winning and losing this week and their College Football Playoff chances as top players may not suit up for the games.

Here's a closer look at some of the significant players on the SEC Week 9 injury report.

SEC Week 9 Injury Report

#1 Keon Sabb, Alabama

The Alabama Crimson Tide are going to be in a tough spot as they are without senior defensive back Keon Sabb.

He suffered a lower extremity injury in the Week 8 game against the Tennessee Volunteers and it was later reported that Sabb suffered a broken foot.

Sabb has a team-high 39 total tackles (24 solo, 15 assisted) with two interceptions and four pass deflections.

#2 Eli Stowers, Vanderbilt

Senior Tight End Eli Stowers has been one of the best offensive weapons in the entire SEC but found himself on the injury report ahead of their Week 9 game at home against the Texas Longhorns.

Stowers suffered an undisclosed injury last week against Ball State but is expected to be on the field this week. He has 33 catches for 463 yards (14.0 yards per reception) with a pair of touchdowns.

#3 Caden Durham, LSU

Freshman running back Caden Durham has been playing well throughout the season and is expected to be on the field for their Week 9 matchup against the Texas A&M Aggies.

He has been dealing with an undisclosed injury and did not miss any time last week. So far this season, he has 62 rushing attempts for 382 yards (6.2 yards per carry) with six rushing touchdowns.

#4 Brady Cook, Missouri

Missouri Tigers senior quarterback Brady Cook has been a star on the field this year but is currently being listed as doubtful with an ankle injury ahead of their game against the Alabama Crimson Tide.

He would return to last week's game after being hurt on the first series and come back late in the third quarter to lead to the victory.

So far this season, Cook has gone 130-of-206 (63.1%) for 1,545 yards with seven passing touchdowns and one interception. If he is unable to play, expect to see backup quarterback Drew Pyne in the pocket.
