Colorado Buffaloes quarterback Shedeur Sanders heaped praise on WNBA rookie Angel Reese. Before moving to the pros, Reese was a star basketball player at LSU, so both athletes know what it is like to deal with fame at a young age.

During the Big 12 Media Days, Sanders was asked about Reese by a Chicago reporter and how she is dealing with all the attention and criticism she is receiving. Shedeur, who has also had his fair share of criticism, had nothing but positive words for Reese.

"Yeah, I like how she has handled it a lot," Sanders said. "The majority of her stuff, I like how she handles. She's doing a good job. She's taking advantage of the situation that she's in and I'm excited and I'm proud of her for that."

So far in her rookie season in the WNBA, Reese is averaging 14 points, 11.9 rebounds, 1.9 assists, and 1.6 steals. She also continues to make history with her all-time league record for most consecutive games with a double-double, which now stands at 15.

Shedeur Sanders claims Colorado is everybody's Super Bowl

Shedeur Sanders is entering his second year at Colorado and is projected to be one of the top picks in the 2025 NFL draft.

Entering the 2024 season, Sanders knows the media attention is still on Colorado as he says the Buffaloes are everyone's Super Bowl.

"It's been there since Day 1," Sanders said at Media Days. "I remember first media day when I was in HBCU, I said, 'We won't lose a game.' I'm undefeated in a SWAC. So, I already know what the expectation comes with.
"I know we're everybody's Super Bowl, so I always stay level-headed and stay grounded because I would never want to be that guy looking back and not being able to take advantage of the moment that we have right now."

The Buffaloes are not expected to make the playoffs or compete for the Big 12 title, but Deion Sanders thinks his team is ready to prove everyone wrong.

"This team is phenomenal," Sanders said. "I know we grabbed a lot of guys out of the portal, but you've gotta understand we grabbed a lot of mature guys. We grabbed guys that are smart, tough, fast, disciplined, and have character."

Colorado will open their 2024 season at home on August 29 against North Dakota State.
