Coach Prime's QB son Shedeur Sanders is in the middle of his final collegiate campaign. He decided to not declare for the 2024 NFL draft and play one more season with the Buffs. And his decision has paid off, as Shedeur helped Colorado qualify for its first bowl game since the COVID-19-shortened 2020 season.

While Deion Sanders is proud of Shedeur's on-field achievement, he also has a sense of respect for his son's moral code of conduct and kind heart. During Colorado's press conference on Tuesday, Coach Prime shared a story about how Shedeur helped a teammate in need.

"His (Shedeur) heart is phenomenal," Coach Prime said. "We had a guy, I'm not gonna call his name, jump into the portal this offseason that did not have furniture in his home. Although he had an NIL deal, but he didn't have furniture. Shedeur Sanders brought him furniture. I mean, he loaded him up.
"He then jumped in the transfer portal and didn't even say thank you and didn't even say bye. But he don't trip, because he's blessed enough to do it. But that's who this young man is. He's always been mature for his age and for the stage of life that he's in right now."

So far this season, Shedeur has done a decent job in leading Colorado's offense on the field. Heading into the Buffs' Week 11 showdown against Texas Tech, the QB has recorded a total of 2,591 passing yards and 21 TD passes. The QB wants to be the No. 1 pick in the 2025 NFL draft.

Shedeur Sanders' mother Pilar Sanders showcases her support amid his latest achievement

Before Colorado's showdown with Texas Tech in Week 11, Shedeur was honored as the Hula Bowl Offensive Player of the Week. His mother Pilar Sanders was elated with her son's achievement and took to social media to heap praise on him.

In a post she shared on TikTok, Pilar congratulated the Colorado QB on his achievement.

"Remember what y'all said, 'no other collegiate QB has endured more!' So this is quite fitting," Pilar wrote.

Shedeur Sanders is also a contender for this season's Heisman Trophy along with his teammate Travis Hunter. It will be interesting to see if he can end his college journey with a few achievements and trophies in his cabinet.
