"Lord, thank you for everything, thank you for allowing us to get to this point, thank you. Please let us play to the best of our ability, thank you for everything, love you, Amen," Sanders said at 7:29.

Sanders was praying for his teammate's success and health ahead of the Bowl game. However, Colorado struggled in the Alamo Bowl as BYU dominated 36-14.

In the loss, Sanders went 16-for-23 for 208 yards, 2 touchdowns and 2 interceptions as he struggled in his final college game.

Sanders ended up going 353-for-477 for 4,134 yards, 37 touchdowns and 10 interceptions this season with Colorado.

Shedeur Sanders is proud of what he did at Colorado

Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter were the face of the Colorado Buffaloes' for the past two years.

Sanders and Hunter, along with coach Deion Sanders helped turn the program around. Although Colorado ended the season with a loss, Shedeur said after the game he was proud of what he accomplished with the Buffaloes.

"It felt great representing Colorado and bringing it back to where it was in the past," Sanders said, via ESPN. "And obviously, we laid the foundation of the program, so now it's stable for the other players that are coming in to take off and pick up where we left off at."

Coach Prime, Deion Sanders, said it was a sad day for him as it was the end of many star players' college careers, including Sanders and Hunter.

"I don't look forward to it, but I do because that means they are going to another level, another chapter of life and they're going to soar," Deion Sanders said. "I'm thankful that I feel we've equipped them with all the tools necessary to be successful."

Shedeur is projected to be one of the top picks in the 2025 NFL draft. It's expected to be between Sanders and Cam Ward to be the first quarterback selected in the draft.
