Deion Sanders' future has been a topic of discussion for the Colorado Buffaloes in recent weeks. "Coach Prime" has reportedly garnered interest from NFL teams, including the Dallas Cowboys and Las Vegas Raiders, amid his fine work with the Buffs. However, Colorado quarterback and his son, Shedeur Sanders, has shut down any rumors of Sanders Sr. leaving the Buffaloes anytime soon.

On Tuesday's episode of his "2Legendary" podcast, Shedeur and his guest Darius Sanders answered questions sent in by fans. Darius read out a question on whether Coach Prime would stay with the Buffs after Shilo and Sheduer leave for the NFL, to which the latter responded:

"Yeah. Dad's staying. For sure." [Timestamp: 15:00]

Deion was appointed as Colorado coach in December 2022. He signed a reported five-year, $29.5 million deal with the Buffs.

While there have been rumors suggesting that Sanders might leave Colorado to get a better deal elsewhere, Coach Prime has reiterated that he remains focused on continuing his coaching stint with the Buffs.

In his first season, Sanders led Colorado to a rather dismal 4-8 record. The Buffs have been one of the most improved teams in the country since then. This is one of the main reasons why certain NFL teams and other college programs are monitoring Sanders closely.

There are suggestions that the Raiders and Cowboys are looking for a change in coaching, but it appears Sanders might not be available due to his duties at Colorado.

Deion Sanders' Colorado dropped out of the College Football Playoff race after its Week 13 defeat against Kansas. The No. 23 Buffaloes (8-3, 6-2 Big 12) now have no chance of heading to the playoffs but will want to finish the season on a high.

Colorado will play its final regular season game against Oklahoma State on Friday. The Buffs have also secured an extra game this year due to their bowl eligibility.
