Shedeur Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes are just a victory away from qualifying for a bowl game. The Buffs are in the midst of their Week 9 showdown against the Cincinnati Bearcats. After last week's victory over Arizona, the program bested last season's 4-8 campaign.
Shedeur Sanders and the Buffaloes made a spectacular entry at Folsom Field for their showdown against the Bearcats at home. In a video shared on social media, we see the quarterback and OT Jordan Seaton in all-black attires grooving to music along with rapper "OT7 Quanny."
Quanny is also seen doing the "Buff Walk" with the players to showcase his support for Coach Prime's team.
Shedeur had transferred from Jackson State along with his father and brother last season. And after arriving in Boulder, he instantly became a sensation with the fans. He ended his debut season with the Buffs recording a total of 2,268 passing yards and 19 TD passes.
Shedeur Sanders was eligible to declare for the 2024 NFL Draft. However, he decided to return to Colorado for one more season and polish himself to potentially go as the No. 1 pick next year.
"I'm trying to be the first quarterback off the board," Shedeur said during a press conference back in March. "I respect Caleb, I respect how he plays. He's a great player. But overall there's just different tiers of quarterbacks."
Former NFL QB shares honest take on Shedeur Sanders' mock draft prediction
"The 33rd Team" recently released a mock draft for next year. In their draft, they predicted the Colorado QB to go second overall to the Cleveland Browns. However, former NFL QB and ESPN analyst Dan Orlovsky calls this prediction "unrealistic."
Orlovsky shared the mock draft on X and stated that Coach Prime will not let Shedeur go second overall to the Browns.
"There is a 0% chance Deion let's Shedeur get drafted by Cleveland. Cleveland/ Carolina will not happen," Orlovsky wrote.
"The 33rd Team" had Tennessee DE James Pearce Jr. going first overall to Tennessee.
Currently, Shedeur is on track to lead the Buffs to a successful season after last year's 4-8 disappointment. It will be interesting to see if Coach Prime's son can go on to be drafted as the No. 1 pick in 2025.
