Shedeur Sanders has helped the Colorado Buffaloes secure Bowl game eligibility this season for the first time since 2016. In 11 games, he has thrown for 3,488 yards and 30 touchdowns. The Buffs are 8-3 overall after Week 13's loss to Kansas which has harmed Colorado's chances of competing for the Big 12 title and a spot in the new 12-team playoffs.
Sanders and his team's hopes lie in how their final regular season game against Oklahoma State plays out this weekend along with some luck. But before that, the Colorado quarterback shed some light on how he will spend Thanksgiving.
Thanksgiving is celebrated on 28th November, just one day before their game against Oklahoma State. On his show, Sanders revealed his holiday plans and how it will mostly be studying film for their final regular season game. He also opened up about enjoying the Holiday season more after growing up.
"We have a game the next day," Shedeur said. "So really not too much. Being in the hotel room. Watching film, eating some pizza. So I think we have a Thanksgiving on what, I think Wednesday.
"Well now since I'm getting older, I think I enjoy the holiday season a little bit more. Cause like Christmas time, I'm going to decorate my place, you know I'm going to take the palm trees out, put like more Christmas trees and everything. So I think the older I'm getting the more I enjoy you know just the small things of just decorating the house and things." (7:10 onwards).
This will be Shedeur Sanders' final collegiate campaign. He decided to forego the 2024 NFL draft to hone his talents further and is expected to be a top draft pick next year.
Coach Prime unfazed after Shedeur Sanders took massive hit during Week 13 loss to Kansas
In the first half of Colorado's loss to the Kansas Jayhawks, Shedeur Sanders took a hit on his knees from Kansas defensive end Dean Miller. The QB flipped in the air before landing on his back.
However, Shedeur managed to escape without any injuries. After the game, Deion Sanders talked about how it is okay since the QB was used to getting hit his entire childhood.
"He's good," Coach Prime said. "Shedeur been hit his whole life man. He's tough, one of the toughest young football players I've ever seen."
Colorado has two ways of making it to the Big 12 title game. The first option is to win against OSU this weekend and expect losses from Arizona State, Iowa State and BYU.
The second option is to win against OSU and also get wins from Houston and Texas Tech. It will be interesting to see if Coach Prime's second campaign with the Buffs ends with a Big 12 title in his trophy cabinet.
