Shedeur Sanders sets the record straight on if dad Coach Prime bought his suits for the Heisman ceremony

Shedeur Sanders was recently in New York City to attend the Heisman Trophy ceremony. While he did not win the award, nor did he make the shortlist, he was able to see teammate and friend Travis Hunter win the prestigious title.

For this event, Sanders wore a suit, and fans had one main question about it, and about a lot of the suits that he has worn in the past. Was he bought these suits by his father, Deion 'Coach Prime' Sanders?

Sanders answered this question on the most recent edition of his "2Legendary" podcast, where he said:

"He does buy my suits. He's putting me on a better path. Somethings I just wasn't ready for, taking on that responsibility when it comes to suit shopping and all that kinds of stuff." (10:50)

Shedeur Sanders owes a lot to his father Deion Sanders, and his fashion sense is another thing to add to this list. Their relationship is incredibly strong, as Deion has been able to help his son achieve many great things.

However, this is also another example of Deion's "guidance" in the lives of his sons that gives us another insight into how Coach Prime runs things in the Buffaloes program and his family.

Saying that Shedeur is "not ready" to pick out his own suit may be his way of wanting his son to look good in the public eye.

While something like a suit is a small fry in this debate, this further raises the question of how much influence Deion Sanders will have on where his sons play in the NFL.

Shedeur Sanders also spoke on his "2Legendary" podcast about how he will feel about playing in the NFL.

"Wherever things end up I'll be fine," said Sanders.

There are two teams that have both been linked with obtaining the services of Shedeur Sanders during the 2025 NFL draft. They are the Las Vegas Raiders and the New York Giants.

Currently, it looks like the Raiders may be the favored option due to what he has been posting on social media. However, the Giants are not out of the picture, and the clip of him throwing with wide receiver Malik Nabers only shows this.

In any situation, Shedeur is confident that whichever team gets him, he'll be fine and should be able to lead them to success.
