Colorado Buffaloes quarterback Shedeur Sanders stole the spotlight with his signature watch celebration after rushing for a touchdown against the Cincinnati Bearcats on Saturday night. Sanders got Colorado on the board early with a short touchdown pass to Travis Hunter, then followed it up with a rushing touchdown of his own on the next possession.

Just before halftime, Sanders found Hunter again for a thrilling 34-yard touchdown, capping a strong first half for the Buffs.

Sanders went into halftime with an impressive 18-of-21 completions for 219 yards and three touchdowns. His connection with Hunter had fans buzzing, with some even speculating they could be top picks in the upcoming NFL draft.

Despite Cincinnati’s defense pushing back and limiting Colorado’s offense to just a field goal for much of the second quarter, Buffs’ defense came through with a crucial stop, setting up one final drive before the half.

As they look to pull away from Cincinnati, the Buffaloes will rely on Sanders’ pinpoint accuracy and Hunter’s playmaking ability to make a statement in conference play.

Shedeur Sanders has been sharp in the first half, completing 18 of 21 passes for 219 yards and two touchdowns. His accuracy on short and intermediate throws kept the Buffs moving downfield with ease. A highlight came on a crucial third down when Sanders hit Jimmy Horn for a first down, setting up a successful drive.

Sanders wrapped up the half by connecting with Travis Hunter on a 34-yard touchdown, sending Colorado into the locker room with a wave of momentum.

On defense, the Buffaloes came through in key moments, especially on Cincinnati’s last drive of the half. Facing a fourth-and-1, Colorado’s defense held strong, stopping quarterback Brendan Sorsby and getting the ball back. This stop paved the way for a quick drive, ending with Hunter’s second touchdown, giving Colorado breathing room heading into halftime.

Up 31-17, Colorado’s offense is in high gear, with Sanders and Hunter leading the charge. The Buffaloes are set to carry this momentum into the conclusive final score.
