Colorado safety Shilo Sanders playfully urged his brother, quarterback Shedeur Sanders, to gift a special present to Colorado superfan Miss Peggy. Ahead of the Colorado Buffaloes’ highly anticipated Alamo Bowl showdown against BYU, the entire Buffs family gathered for one last moment of camaraderie on Friday night.

Coach Prime’s sons, Shedeur and Shilo, were part of the occasion. While in San Antonio, a video shared on Colorado Football’s Instagram profile captured a lighthearted exchange inside a car. In it, Shilo jokingly pressured Shedeur to pick the perfect gift for Miss Peggy.

“You should’ve already gave Miss Peggy a watch,” Shilo teased.

Shedeur, staying cool, and replied:

“After the drive, you know we got it.”

But Miss Peggy, in her charming way, politely declined the idea:

“No. I don’t even wear a watch.”

The 99-year-old fan brought her playful energy too. She raised both wrists in a cheerful moment, signaling her excitement for the Bowl game and doubling the fun with her spirited gesture resembling Buffs QB.

The No. 23 Colorado Buffaloes are gearing up for an intense Alamo Bowl clash against the No. 17 BYU Cougars in San Antonio. The game is set for Saturday, Dec. 28, and promises to be a thrilling end to the season.

Miss Peggy was flown to San Antonio by Deion Sanders to experience the magic of Colorado football. A loyal fan since the 1940s, she has been warmly embraced by Coach Prime and the team.

True to his word, Sanders had promised to make all arrangements for her to attend Colorado’s postseason matchup before the 2024 season even began.

On Friday night, the entire Buffs family came together one last time before facing BYU in the Alamo Bowl. The event also served as a heartfelt farewell for NFL draft prospects expected to go pro in 2025. During his speech, Sanders shared an emotional moment:

"We set out one goal. To get Ms. Peggy to a Bowl Game. That's my most beautiful date I have ever had. And she's not gonna divorce me like the other two did. Or was it the other way around?"

Sanders later admitted it would be a bittersweet occasion, knowing his senior players won’t be by his side next season.

“I’ve been trying to shy away from that moment,” Sanders said to reporters on Friday. “This is it … It’s gonna be something to behold. I don’t know how I’m gonna handle it,” he said [H/t SI].

Colorado stars like Will Sheppard, Jimmy Horn Jr., Travis Hunter, Shilo Sanders, Shedeur Sanders and others are projected to make a splash in the 2025 NFL Draft.
