Veteran sports analyst Skip Bayless was fired up after Vanderbilt took down Alabama in Week 6 of the 2024 college football season. The Tide, who were the top-ranked team in the country coming into the game, suffered a shock 40-35 defeat against the Commodores at FirstBank Stadium on Saturday.

In a video posted on X after Vanderbilt's triumph over Alabama, Bayless said:

"I am dripping wet with sweat. In all my rooting life, I have never been more overjoyed, more inspired, by any game I've ever watched and rooted for, than my Vanderbilt Commadores.
"The doormat Dores of the SEC slamming the door on No. 1 Alabama. We did it. As 25-point (under)dogs we pulled it off. I love my school. Anchor down, drop it on Bama's head."

Vanderbilt quarterback Diego Pavia paved the way for the historic win over Alabama. It was also the first time the Commodores registered a win against an AP top-five ranked opponent.

A few weeks ago on the Pat McAfee show, former Alabama coach Nick Saban, who won six national titles with the program, appeared to troll Vanderbilt when he said it was the least toughest team to play against in the Southeastern Conference.

"The only place you play in the SEC that's not hard to play is Vanderbilt." Saban said.

However, on Saturday, after Vanderbilt handed Alabama its first defeat of the season, Skip Bayless made sure to call out Saban on social media.

"AND THANK YOU, NICK SABAN, FOR SETTING THE TONE FOR THIS BY SAYING TWO WEEKS AGO THAT THE ONLY PLACE IN THE SEC NOBODY FEARS PLAYING IS AT VANDERBILT. LOOK AT US NOW, SABAN."

Alabama (4-1) will soon need to turn its attention to Week 7, when the program hosts South Carolina on Saturday. The Tide, who are still expected to qualify for the College Football Playoff this season, will want to get back to winning ways.

Meanwhile, Vanderbilt (3-2) will be brimming with confidence heading into Week 7 after a big scalp. The Commadores will face Kentucky on the road on Saturday.
