“SpongeBob pjs goes hard”: CFB fans left in awe of Travis Hunter’s outfit choice while receiving Walter Camp Award

Colorado's two-way star Travis Hunter won the Walter Camp Award on Thursday night. However, his outfit drew some attention, since he picked up the honor while wearing a white hoodie and SpongeBob SquarePants pajama bottoms.

Naturally, fans on social media had some wild reactions to Hunter's style.

Hunter's pajama bottoms certainly became a topic of discussion.

"SpongeBob pjs goes hard," one wrote.

"The pajama pants and trophies tour continues," one added.

"SpongeBob pants for this moment unreal 😂" a fan commented.

Fans continued to congratulate Hunter, while addressing his SpongeBob SquarePants pajamas.

"At least he acknowledged he came down there in his pajama pants at the wrong time 😂 .. Congrats to him 🙌🏽" another added.

"I like the PJ’s. 🔥🔥 At the end of the day, he’s a once in a lifetime talent and he’s also HUMAN. 😂😂. Congratulations," a user wrote.

Hunter has already picked up a few awards on Thursday night and made history for winning accolades for his offensive and defensive performances. He won the Chuck Bednarik Award, which is given the the nation’s best defensive player, and the Biletnikoff Award, given to the best receiver.

Hunter was also named as the Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year. However, he is eyeing the most coveted college football honor, having made it as a Heisman finalist.

Travis Hunter is the frontrunner to win the Heisman Trophy this year

Travis Hunter is among the four candidates who have been shortlisted to win this year's Heisman Trophy. The Colorado star is in the pool with Boise State running back Ashton Jeanty, Miami quarterback Cam Ward and Oregon quarterback Dillon Gabriel.

However, Hunter is considered the frontrunner to win the Heisman due to his versatility. He recorded 1,152 yards and 14 touchdowns on 92 catches as a receiver. The Colorado star also posted 31 tackles, 11 passes deflected, four interceptions and one forced fumble in 12 games.

The Heisman winner will be announced on Saturday.
