Notre Dame welcomed Stanford to South Bend on Saturday to rekindle the rivalry known as the Battle of Legends. Both teams entered the highly anticipated game to claim the Legends Trophy.
The Fighting Irish hoped to seal four straight victories over their rival in the encounter. They entered the game as a heavy favorite but that doesn't always sound so good under the leadership of Marcus Freeman.
