Sun Bowl opt-outs and injury report: Top Louisville & Washington players not playing

The Louisville Cardinals are set to play the Washington Huskies on Tuesday at 2 p.m. ET in the Sun Bowl. Louisville finished the year 8-4, beating Kentucky 41-14 in its final game. Washington, meanwhile, went 6-6 and lost 49-21 in its final game to Oregon.

With both teams not playing in the College Football Playoff, both have had several key players enter the transfer portal.

Washington tight ends Charlie Crowell and Quentin Moore are both out of the Sun Bowl due to an injury. Crowell didn't record any stats while Moore had one reception for 14 yards.

Armon Parker, Jayvon Parker, Russell Davis, and Zach Durfee, DL, injury

Four defensive linemen will not play in the Sun Bowl due to an injury. Armon Parker didn't record any stats while Javyon Parker recorded 10 tackles. Davis, meanwhile, had 4 tackles and Durfee had 16 tackles.
