Arkansas QB Taylen Green helped the Razorbacks to an epic comeback victory over the Tennessee Volunteers in Week 6. Despite trailing for most of the game, the fourth-quarter field goal by Matthew Shipley and the 11-yard touchdown by Malachi Singleton proved to be the turning point of the game.

However, the victory for the Razorbacks did come with a price as Taylen Green went down with an injury. So what happened to the quarterback?

Taylen Green injury update

In the fourth quarter of the Arkansas vs Tennessee showdown, Taylen Green left the game after a leg injury. He was rushed to the injury tent leading to backup Malachi Singleton taking over the reins.

Green did return to the game, but the injury proved to be too painful for him to continue playing. Thus, he was sidelined for the rest of the game after that.

ABC's Holly Rowe later reported that Green was likely not making another comeback on the gridiron. This meant it would be Malachi Singleton's duty to help the Razorbacks emerge victorious in this Week 6 showdown.

"Arkansas quarterback Taylen Green has just come out the injury tent. He came down the offensive line, to all the players and said, 'Go finish this.' They have taken him back to the locker room with that left knee injury. It does not look like he'll return."

In the end, Singleton put the final nail in the coffin for the Razorbacks. His 11-yard rushing touchdown with just one minute left in the game ended Tennessee's four-game winning streak. Arkansas is now 4-2 so for the season.

What happened to Taylen Green?

In the fourth quarter of the Arkansas vs Tennessee game, Green took a low hit by Vols lineman Omarr Norman-Lott after passing the ball to Andrew Armstrong. The QB went down with pain following the hit and Norman-Lott was flagged for a person foul for that tackle.

Green was helped to the injury tent where his injury was assessed. He returned to the sidelines shortly and re-entered the game. However, the QB could not perform efficiently and was seen hobbling in pain.

This led to him being taken back to the injury tent while Malachi Singleton took over for the rest of the fourth quarter. The Razorbacks have an open week coming up which should give Green ample time to recover. However, nothing can be guaranteed until the program makes an official statement on his condition.
