The TCU Horned Frogs had an up-and-down year as they finished the regular season with an 8-4 record, including a 6-3 mark in Big 12 play. After starting the season 3-3, they were able to win five of their final six games of the season.
With the transfer portal now officially open, several players have already announced their intention to change programs.
Here's a closer look at which TCU players were among that group.
TCU Horned Frogs transfer portal tracker 2024-25
#1: Hauss Hejny, Quarterback
Hauss Hejny joined the TCU Horned Frogs as a four-star prospect in the 2024 recruiting class. He appeared in four games, recording 65 rushing yards on 15 carries. Hejny announced his decision to enter the transfer portal on Dec. 21.
#2: Cam Cook, Running Back
Cam Cook joined the Horned Frogs as a four-star prospect in the 2023 recruiting class. He appeared in 21 games, recording 518 rushing yards and nine touchdowns on 135 carries. Cook added 18 receptions for 75 yards. He announced his decision to enter the transfer portal on Dec. 17.
#3: Dominique Johnson, Running Back
Dominique Johnson initially joined the Arkansas Razorbacks as a three-star prospect in the 2020 recruiting class. He appeared in 32 games, recording 785 rushing yards and eight touchdowns on 136 carries. Johnson added nine receptions for 75 yards and one touchdown.
He joined the Horned Frogs via the transfer portal ahead of the 2024 season. Johnson appeared in 12 games, recording 63 rushing yards and one touchdown on 18 carries. He added one reception for two yards while returning three kickoffs for 32 yards. Johnson announced his decision to enter the transfer portal on Dec. 16.
#4: JoJo Earle, Wide Receiver
JoJo Earle initially joined the Alabama Crimson Tide as a four-star prospect in the 2021 recruiting class. He appeared in 20 games, recording 24 receptions for 303 yards and two touchdowns. Earle added 15 punt returns for 88 yards.
He joined TCU via the transfer portal ahead of the 2023 season. Earle appeared in 16 games, recording 276 receiving yards and three touchdowns on 23 carries. He added 42 rushing yards on six carries and 39 punt return yards on six carries. Earle announced his decision to enter the transfer portal on Dec. 15.
#5: James Brockermeyer, Offensive Lineman
James Brockermeyer initially joined the Alabama Crimson Tide as a four-star prospect in the 2021 recruiting class. He appeared in 16 games during his tenure with the program. Brockermeyer joined TCU via the transfer portal ahead of the 2024 season. He appeared in 12 games in his lone season with the program. Brockermeyer announced his decision to enter the transfer portal on Dec. 20.
#6: Marcus Williams, Offensive Tackle
Marcus Williams joined TCU as a three-star prospect in the 2019 recruiting class. He appeared in 23 games during his tenure with the program. Williams announced his decision to enter the transfer portal on Nov. 17.
#7: Shad Banks Jr., Linebacker
Shad Banks Jr. joined the Horned Frogs as a four-star prospect in the 2021 recruiting class. He appeared in 42 games with the program, recording 114 total tackles, 81 of which were solo tackles, 14.0 tackles for loss, 2.0 sacks, one interception, two forced fumbles, one fumble recovery and one pass defended. Banks Jr. announced his decision to enter the transfer portal on Dec. 6 and committed to join the UTSA Roadrunners on Dec. 22.
#8: Terrence Cooks Jr., Linebacker
Terrence Cooks Jr. initially joined the Texas Longhorns as a three-star prospect in the 2021 recruiting class. He did not record any stats in his lone season with the program. Cooks Jr. joined the Horned Frogs via the transfer portal ahead of the 2022 season. He appeared in 12 games, recording seven total tackles, five of which were solo, and 1.0 tackles for loss. Cooks Jr. announced his decision to enter the transfer portal on Dec. 2.
#9: Richard Toney Jr., Safety
Richard Toney Jr. initially joined the Nevada Wolf Pack as a two-star prospect in the 2021 recruiting class. He appeared in 19 games, recording 75 total tackles, 53 of which were solo tackles, 4.0 tackles for loss, 1.0 sacks, two interceptions, both of which he returned for a touchdown, and one pass defended.
Toney Jr. joined the Horned Frogs via the transfer portal ahead of the 2024 season. He appeared in nine games, recording nine total tackles, four of which were solo tackles, and one pass defended. Toney Jr. announced his decision to enter the transfer portal on Dec. 9.
